A secondary school teacher recently confronted a parent following the discovery of a condom in the school bag of her SS2 student, just days after finding a cigarette in the same student’s possession. The tense exchange was recorded and shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), igniting widespread public discussion.

In the video, the teacher is seen calmly addressing the parent in person, expressing concern over the items found.

“What is a condom doing in your child’s bag? A 15-year-old SS2 student, madam. I personally found it,” the teacher said.

She continued, highlighting the seriousness of the situation: “Is he not too young for that? Just the other day, I found a cigarette on him, and now this.”

The mother, appearing defensive yet composed, responded by explaining that she is a nurse and also runs a pharmacy. She suggested the condom might have been inadvertently taken from her shop rather than being used by her child.

The conversation captured in the video revealed a clash between the teacher’s disciplinary concerns and the parent’s attempt to provide context for the items found.

The video has since gone viral, prompting a flood of comments and debates online. Many users weighed in on parenting challenges, school discipline, and adolescent behavior, sparking a broader conversation about youth education and supervision in Nigerian schools.
