Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has responded defiantly to Nyesom Wike’s statement that protests in Abuja on August 1 are not permitted. Sowore confirmed that the nationwide protests, scheduled from August 1 to August 10, will indeed commence in Abuja despite the government’s warnings. The protests, organized under the hashtag #EndBadGovernance, aim to address issues such as widespread hunger and inflation in Nigeria.
