Popular Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti, has taken to social media to recount his unpleasant experience in police custody.
Recall that he was detained in jail for days before being eventually released after being charged with assaulting a police officer.
On the recommendation of the Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, Seun was remanded in the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
The musician regained his freedom on Tuesday night, May 23 after much effort from lawyers.
Taking to his Instastory on Friday, Kuti shared his ordeal in jail.
Th activist revealed that he was made to lay down on a hard cold floor with other prisoners.
However, the controversial singer opined that the horrible treatment he endured in prison was a better fate than sitting with politicians in the ‘Devils house’.
Seun wrote;
“Dem put me for hard cold floor, in the midst of prisoners, still better than sitting in the devil’s house with politicians.”
