In a significant drug bust, officers from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recovered a staggering 11,786 pills, including tramadol, molly, rohypnol, and diazepam, along with 64 bottles of codeine syrup, from an underground storage facility at a residence in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The operation took place on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the home of suspect Muhammad Warnos Abdullahi, according to a statement issued by Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media & Advocacy, on Sunday, October 27.

Abdullahi had ingeniously concealed the illicit drug stash by digging a deep storage pit in his bedroom. To evade detection, he covered the hole with a padlocked iron slate, placed a rug on top, and even laid his mattress over it, creating the illusion of a normal living space.

The discovery marks a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse in Lagos State, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat illegal drug operations.
