A tense drama unfolded at a bustling market as a group of enraged market women confronted a preacher over alleged derogatory remarks he made during his sermon.

In a video circulating widely on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the women are seen protesting against the pastor, accusing him of insulting Urhobo women, including those in the market, by calling them “goats.”

One of the market leaders explained their outrage in the clip, stating, “A pastor came here, he was preaching, and then he said all the market women, all the Urhobo women here, are goats. That’s why we gathered here. Even including his mother, he said she’s a goat too.”

The confrontation escalated as some women seized the pastor’s speakers and other equipment in protest.

The incident has sparked heated debates online, with many social media users offering differing opinions. While some criticized the pastor for making inflammatory comments, others questioned whether the women’s reaction was justified.

The viral video has drawn attention to the challenges of balancing free speech with respect for cultural and community sensitivities, especially in public spaces. The pastor has not yet commented on the incident.
