Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has appointed his daughter, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, as the state’s First Lady following the passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.

During a condolence visit from Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, Governor Eno expressed his confidence in Helen to uphold her late mother’s legacy and continue her initiatives.

He stressed that the vacancy left by his wife cannot be filled and reaffirmed his commitment to sustain her projects. In response to rumors about remarrying, the governor stated he has no plans to take a second wife, emphasizing the enduring impact of his wife’s legacy.

He introduced Helen to ensure the ongoing work of the First Lady’s Office, reinforcing the importance of continuity in their programs.
