An auto crash involving a trailer, a car and commercial bus at the Second Rainbow area, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos State yesterday claimed the lives of at least six people around 4pm.
A witness who described the scene as horrific said: “The trailer’s brake failed, causing it to crash into a car and a commercial bus. Several bodies have been recovered, around six or seven.”

Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigeria Police were swiftly deployed to the scene. A police source, engaged in the response efforts, confirmed the incident, but declined to provide further details.

The cause of the brake failure and circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being investigated. Lagos State Government officials have expressed condolences to the families of the victims, promising a thorough investigation.
