Renowned Nigerian actress Oluwabukola Ajoke, popularly known as Bukky Wright, has revealed details about her time away from Nigeria, her transition to a tech career in the United States, and her much-anticipated return to Nollywood.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, the veteran actress shared her journey of pivoting from entertainment to technology, a move she described as challenging but rewarding.

“I will be practicing tech simultaneously with entertainment,” Wright explained. “Many thought I couldn’t make the transition from entertainment to tech, but I did. I always tell my mentees—if I can do it, they can too.”

During her time abroad, the actress admitted to missing aspects of Nigerian life, particularly its unique culinary delights and the vibrant film industry. “What I miss the most is proper Naija amala,” she said. “I also miss acting with my colleagues in Nollywood.”

Now fully back in Nigeria, Wright assured fans that her return would be marked by exciting new projects. “I have so much in store for my fans, including my project ‘The Return of Omotara Johnson,’ and several others. I’m back to stay,” she announced.

When asked about her ageless appearance, the actress humorously credited her beauty to one secret: “I don’t joke with my beauty sleep.”

Wright’s return to Nollywood has sparked excitement among her fans, who eagerly await her upcoming projects and the resurgence of her iconic presence in the industry.
