The passing of Naja’atu Salisu, a 300-level Computer Science student at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), is indeed a tragic event.
She was found unconscious in her hostel bathroom and despite efforts to save her, she unfortunately did not survive.
The university community is understandably in mourning, and details about the exact cause of her death are still awaited.

ATBU spokesperson, Zailani Bappa, confirmed the incident, stating that Naja’atu was immediately rushed to the university clinic for medical attention. However, medical personnel struggled to find a vein for treatment.

“She was then transferred to the Trauma Centre of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead,” Bappa said.
