Edo State Governor-elect Mathew Okpebholo visited Aso Rock on Thursday, September 26, where he knelt in gratitude to President Bola Tinubu following his victory in the governorship election held on September 21.
This heartfelt gesture signifies his appreciation for the support received during the election process.
Accompanying Okpebholo were key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC), including the national chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, along with several governors elected under the party’s banner.
Among the notable members of the delegation were Hope Uzodimma, chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State; Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State; Uba Sani of Kaduna State; Usman Ododo of Kogi State; and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
The entourage also included prominent Edo leaders such as Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, and the state’s Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu.
