Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has issued a renewed ultimatum to armed herders in the South West region, specifically targeting those in Oke Ogun. In an audio message released by his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, Igboho declared that all armed herders occupying the forests of Oke Ogun must vacate immediately. He emphasized that these forests belong to the Yoruba people and are not meant for the occupation of herders who engage in criminal activities such as kidnapping and robbery.

The directive follows reports of escalating violence and disruptions to farming activities in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State due to activities attributed to these herders. Igboho made it clear that his actions are not against any government but are aimed at protecting Yoruba communities from the menace of armed herders. He indicated plans to extend these actions across Yoruba lands with the support of local traditional rulers in Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, and Osun states.

The statement underscored Igboho’s determination to ensure the safety and security of Yoruba people in the face of ongoing threats posed by criminal elements among the herding communities.
