The House of Representatives has summoned Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Police Commissioner Peter Opara, and DSS Director-General Adeola Ajayi to address the worsening security situation in Abuja.

This follows a motion by Dabo Haruna, highlighting the murder of his aide, Ni’ima Suleman, by ‘one chance’ criminals. Suleman was kidnapped at Banex Junction on her way home and killed on October 17, raising concerns about rising crime rates in the capital.

Haruna emphasized the need for lawmakers to prioritize citizens’ safety amid increasing kidnappings and robberies.
