The Lagos State Police have arrested five individuals involved in a child trafficking ring and rescued a two-month-old baby who had been sold multiple times.
The arrests followed a report by the baby’s mother, who claimed her child was taken by Gloria Sunday on July 11, 2024.
Police investigation revealed that Sunday sold the baby for ₦500,000 to Pastor Peter Udoh. Udoh resold the child for ₦1,450,000 to Loretta Nelson, who further sold the baby for ₦2,350,000.
The baby was eventually located with Mr. and Mrs. James Uwam during a naming ceremony.

All suspects are in custody and will face charges. The police have reaffirmed their dedication to fighting child trafficking and protecting children.
