With less than 72 hours remaining before the nationwide protests, the Nigerian Police Force has implemented a strict curfew starting at 4 p.m. for all demonstrations. Protesters are advised to complete their activities by this time.
Additionally, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has requested that all participating groups submit their details, including names and addresses, to the commissioners of police in their states.

This measure aims to facilitate communication, ensure safety, and prevent unlawful activities. The peaceful protests, set to begin on August 1, will address issues such as poor governance, economic hardship, and widespread hunger across all thirty states.
