Newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Ikorodu City FC has hinted desire to sell their NPFL slot for a whopping sum of one billion naira.

This was disclosed by club director, Tobi Adepoju while representing his fast growing side at the recent NPFL annual general meeting which was held in Abuja.

Speaking on a lighter note, Tobi who was recently appointed Assistant Secretary of the NPFL club owners, hinted his team has what it takes to challenge foes for trophy and however stated readiness to sell their NPFL slot for an eye-popping amount of one billion naira, if need be.

‘ We are not selling our slot, we want to play. If at all we want to sell, you’ll have to pay us N1B and I don’t think any club can afford that for now,’ he jokingly stated in an interview with CenterKick.

The Lagos based club alongside Beyond Limit, Nassarawa United and El Kanemi Warriors gained promotion to the league ahead of 2024/2025 NPFL season.
