Chima, the Nigerian singer, emerged victorious in the ninth season of Nigerian Idol during Sunday’s finals, triumphing over competitors Lammy and Chioma.
As the winner, Chima secured an impressive grand prize of N30 million, an SUV, a record deal, and a video shoot to celebrate his achievement.
During the finals, Chioma captivated the audience with her remarkable performances of Jodie’s “Kuchi Kuchi” and Jennifer Hudson’s “One Night Only”.
Chima delivered heartfelt renditions of Dare Art Alade’s “Not the Girl” and Stevie Wonder’s “As”, leaving the judges and audience in awe. Lammy also received loud ovation for her emotive performances of 2baba’s “African Queen” and Alexandra Burke’s “Hallelujah”.
The finals featured performances by Simi, Chike, Progress, and Victory Gbakara, along with a special thank-you performance from Judge Omawunmi and former contestants.
Hosted by IK Osakioduwa and judged by 9ice, Omawumi, and Ric Hassani, the “Dare to Dream” edition aired live over eight exciting weeks.
