The 2024 Cardinal Odunmbaku Gold Cup has reached quarterfinal stage with duels expected to kick-off Thursday 17th of October across all venues.
The annual tourney which started few weeks ago at Proposed Palace Ground, Igando, saw all quarter final teams being awarded several customized kits which portrays images, names and logo of sponsor. 
Going by the fixtures of the male category,  Samjamson will tackles Viktoria FC while Sizoko have been billed to face Seedorf FC. The last eight stage scheduled for Army Cantonment Ikeja, has also pitched Adosag against Phoenix FC.
In a similar vein, SGH Sports of Agege will take on Tom Queens of Ota while Orile Iganmu based Phoenix Queen will face Ayisat Yusuf FC in semifinal of the female category. 
Speaking at the jersey presentation, member, organizing committee, Prince Gbadamosi disclosed all hands are on deck to ensure fair play and world class officiating. He also hinted teams will be bagging their winning prize on November 8th in Epe, Lagos. 
‘This competition is sponsored by a clergy man who sees the tourney as a means of luring youths to gospel. He has assured winners will walk away with prizes at his crusade ground in Epe. This is not the first time he has been doing this and I can assure you he has set aside special items for all winners.’

Meanwhile, the early quarterfinal kick-off, saw King Best FC zoomed to last four after beating Badri FC 3-0.
