In a bid to foster a clean and healthy learning environment at the Kwara State University (KWASU) Conference Centre.
The management of the Institute of Professional and Continuous Education (IPCE) has praised the Mass Communication students of Stream 2 for their thoughtful donation of waste bins.
According to the Class Governor of Mass Communication Stream 2, Mr. Usman Mohammed Tokurah, the initiative was part of a Development Communication Project, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement. Tokurah expressed his gratitude to the course lecturer, Dr. V. O. Babatunde, and the Departmental Coordinator, Dr. Agnes Shaib, for their invaluable support in bringing the project to fruition.
Representing the Director of IPCE, Dr. Sunday Oho, Dr. Sefiu Bello commended the students for their impactful initiative, stating, “Maintaining a clean environment is an ongoing challenge, but projects like this will significantly contribute to addressing the issue. I applaud your effort and i am delighted to see you applying theoretical concepts to practical situations.”
The institution’s Senior Safety Officer, Mallam M. A. Musa, also attended the event and praised the students for their commendable project. He encouraged other students within the institution to emulate their exemplary gesture, promoting a culture of social responsibility and community service.
