Taiwo Obasanjo, the estranged wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has reportedly been evicted from her Abuja residence due to years of unpaid rent.

The eviction occurred on October 18, 2024, following a “Pay or Vacate” notice from her landlord, which she failed to comply with. Sources indicate that her belongings were placed outside the property after she did not settle her rent arrears, which had reportedly accumulated over several years.

This public eviction has drawn attention to her financial struggles. Previously, Taiwo publicly criticized Obasanjo, describing him as a “wicked husband,” and their ongoing feud has escalated in recent months.

After Obasanjo made controversial remarks about traditional rulers, Taiwo sought forgiveness on his behalf, which he dismissed, questioning her mental health and denying her as part of his family despite their two children together.

In her response, Taiwo attacked Obasanjo, recalling past grievances and questioning the legitimacy of his current relationship. Their public disputes highlight deep-seated issues in their marriage, revealing a complicated and contentious dynamic.

Speaking on the issues surrounding their marriage, in reply to Obasanjo, she said, “Have you not begged me many times in the past to come back to you? Yet, you query the state of my mental health?

“You loved me very much in the past, to the extent of even beating your first wife in the house because she insulted me. It is still very painful to you that l left you and l am still alive. God has kept me. When l couldn’t cope, I ran out and left your home because you were to pushing me mad.
