The police in Delta State have issued a warning to Point of Sale (POS) operators regarding transactions exceeding N500,000, citing potential legal implications tied to criminal activities, particularly kidnapping.

SP Bright Edafe highlighted a case where a POS operator unknowingly facilitated a ransom payment of N4,000,000, earning only N40,000 in profit.

He emphasized the importance of compliance with federal regulations and urged operators to remain vigilant against suspicious activities. “Don’t be a tool for kidnappers to collect ransom,” Edafe warned, advising operators to adhere to transaction limits to avoid serious legal consequences.
