Nigerian youths protesting against hunger and hardship were met with police resistance on Tuesday in Abuja.
The protests, which began near Berger roundabout, aimed to draw attention to the economic crises facing the country.
As demonstrators marched towards Eagles Square, police used teargas to disperse them.
The protesters are demanding urgent action from President Bola Tinubu’s administration to address the escalating hunger and economic challenges.
In response to the unrest, Tinubu had previously assured the nation of efforts to reduce the cost of living during his Independence Day address.
