Three young men have lost their lives while others were injured after two cars collided on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos State.

The incident happened at about 1am on Sunday morning, September 22, a source claimed on X.

The X user wrote: “18 yrs old driver k!!l€d 3 of his friends in acc!dent. Police arrested the remaining 2 survivors.

“The driver was about 18 yrs old and without a drivers licence.”
“This incident happened at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge toll gate around 1:00 AM yesterday morning. About eight people were inside two of the cars when the crash happened, and sadly, three of them lost their lives. Two di€d on the spot, and one pa$$ed away a few minutes after being pulled from the wrecked car.” the source added.
The drivers of both vehicles, including the 18-year-old, survived.
Reacting, Lagos State Police Command PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin wrote on X: “The police arrived at the scene and took occupants of the vehicles to the hospital. Unfortunately, three were certified de@d and the police took their bodies to Yaba mortuary.

“The police equally took the driver at fault to the hospital for medical attention and left him in the custody of his family after they were contacted.

“Investigation is ongoing.”
