The legendary artist, Onyeka Onwenu reportedly died on Tuesday evening at Reddington Hospital, Lagos.
Gistmania reported that the tragic incident occurred shortly after Onwenu performed at the birthday celebration of Mrs. Stella Okoli. According to eyewitness accounts, the renowned performer collapsed immediately after her set and was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

An eyewitness at the event shared the heartbreaking news with TheNiche, stating, “It is incredibly sad despite being taken to Reddington Hospital, she couldn’t be revived.”
