Femi Adebayo, a well-known Nollywood actor and producer, has recently addressed the incident from 2008 when he slapped his father, veteran actor Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), during the filming of Funke Akindele’s movie “Taiwo Taiwo.”
In a new interview, Femi clarified that the slap was an unintended result of his role as an aggressive thief.

He explained that while his character was supposed to be forceful, the action of slapping his father was improvised rather than scripted.
Despite the surprising moment, Femi apologized to his father afterward. Oga Bello, known for his supportive nature, took the incident humorously, telling Femi he would have been in trouble if he hadn’t followed through with the slap.

This recent clarification sheds light on the father-son relationship and highlights the unpredictable nature of acting.
“I ended up slapping my father in Funke Akindele’s movie, ‘Taiwo Taiwo,’ while trying to act like an aggressive thief,” Femi explained. “It wasn’t in the film that I had to slap him, but the character was aggressive, and the man didn’t want to give us money. I just realized that I raised my hand to hit him.”
Following the scene, Femi apologized to his father, expressing regret over the unscripted action. Oga Bello, however, took the incident in stride.
