A point-of-care COVID-19 test confirmed the diagnosis, and PCR confirmation is pending. The president’s vital signs, including normal respiratory rate, temperature, and pulse oximetry, indicate his symptoms remain mild. He has begun treatment with his first dose of Paxlovid.
