Dayo Adeneye, the dynamic entertainment entrepreneur and co-founder of Kennis Music alongside Kenny Ogungbe, recently opened up about a challenging period in their enduring partnership.

During a lively conversation with comedian Teju Babyface on his talk show, Adeneye vividly recounted a tumultuous disagreement with his partner. He shared how he sought advice from his father during this turbulent time. His father’s counsel was surprisingly simple yet profound: “nothing should disrupt your bond, and even if the dispute revolved around trivial matters like money or a woman, you need to find a way to reconcile.’

Teju Babyface was amused and incredulous at this unconventional approach to resolving conflicts.

Adeneye clarified that money was never the source of tension between him and Kenny Ogungbe. Instead, their discord stemmed from a deeply personal and emotional issue: their interest in the same woman.

Since founding Kennis Music in 2000, the label has been instrumental in launching the careers of numerous Nigerian music icons such as 2face, Eedris AbdulKareem, Tony Tetuila, Sound Sultan, Jaywon, and others.
