Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Chatta has raised eyebrows online after he threatened to arrest one of his staff for injuring his horse.
In the viral clip, the actor, who was at his film village in Oyo State, revealed that he had sacked the staff twice but took him back because of pleas from his mother. He disclosed that the staff had stabbed his pregnant horse while attempting to capture it, despite how obedient and docile it is.
Describing it as animal cruelty, he threatened to arrest the staff, except social media users intervened.
The remorseful staff, who was seen kneeling while two men held him, begged the actor to forgive me. He used his being fatherless as an excuse, noting how he has no one except his mother.
“It is a sin against God. This is a very gentle horse, and I think she is pregnant. She is very gentle, and she doesn’t argue. But there is one of my stupīd workers; I have told people to hold him.
This is animal cruelty. If people on social media say I should leave you and you shouldn’t go to police station, I would let you go”, Ibrahim Chatta said in the video.
