The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed a tragic incident where a building collapsed at Arowojobe Estate in Maryland, Lagos.

Three male site workers lost their lives in the collapse, while two others were rescued alive and one was trapped but subsequently rescued.

The incident occurred at No 13, Wilson Mba St., and prompted LASEMA’s immediate response upon receiving a distress call at 3.49 a.m.

Search and rescue efforts involved LASEMA, the Lagos State Fire Service, and other agencies, with an excavator deployed to aid in operations.

The State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit was contacted to handle the deceased individuals.
